Hello fashion minded sisters! The Christmas season is finally here and I am eagerly looking forward to school letting out for the Holidays.

A trend I have had my eye on this season is the look of high waisted skirts. This look is sophisticated and feminine (everything I love). I adore high waisted skirts for upcoming Christmas parties or an evening with girl friends. Since the weather is cold, wear opaque black tights to keep yourself warm. Pictured here is a royal blue bow tie skirt from Forever21, but I have also found a skirt like this at Target. A simple shirt tucked into the skirt gives the feeling of effortless chic. Have fun with this look by wearing flats or keep the bow theme alive with bow tie heels, here I have leather Mary Janes from Old Navy.

So tell me darling, do you wish we'd fall in love?

Black skinny jeans have been popular for quite sometime now and for a good reason! Jewel toned blouses look striking this season against a dark leg. This look is effortlessly chic and totally wearable to school, work, and out with friends. Black flats for day can easily be replaced with high heels for a nighttime look. Urban Outfitters has quite a collection of oversized tops that help to either help to add curves or hide a belly. To accessorize this look add feminine jewelry in gold or silver. Whatever you decide to do with you skinnies this season, be sure to keep it dark and keep it fun!
